Research!America and the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation encourage media to use Your Congress-Your Health to inform your coverage of the 110th Congress. We know this is just one of many sources available to you, but our site is the first such national resource to focus on medical, health and scientific research and other ways Congress can affect Americans' health.

Fourteen years of Research!America public opinion polling have shown how important medical, health and scientific research are to Americans, including your readers, viewers or listeners. Just 9% of Americans say they are well-informed about their elected officials' positions on research. Once we have response from Congress, beginning in mid-May, you will be able to find those legislators who represent your readers or audience and learn more about their positions on these issues. If a Senator or Representative has not responded, you may be interested in asking why. We think you'll find this information useful not only now but also in the future to compare elected officials' actions with their positions posted here.
